Water Rates

Minimum- $26.50 up to 1,000 gallons

$3.75 per 1,000 gallons above minimum

Meters are read at the begining of each month.  Bills should be recieved by the 5th.  If you do not recieve a bill by then please contact us.  Failure to recieve a bill does not exempt a customer from having late fees or shut-off fees assessed.

A late fee of $5.00 or 10% whichever is greater is asssessed on all bills not paid by the 20th of each month.  In the event that the 20th falls on a weekend or holiday payment can be made through the next business day without penalty.  Any account not paid by the 4th will be shut off on the 5th day of the month unless that day is a holiday or weekend,then shut-offs will be made on the next business day.  shut-offs can occur on Fridays.  We do not send out late notices so please be aware of these dates.

Shut-off fee schedule:

In a running 12 month period-(from the current month backwards 12 months)

1st occurence- $25.00

2nd occurence- $25.00

3rd occurence- $50.00

4th occurence- $100.00

Removing the lock seal from a meter that has been turned off will result in a second shut-off fee being assessed and is punishable through the magistrate court.

Crawford County Water is now accepting applications for water service in the area of Jordan road and Boy Scout rd.  Roads included in this area are Boy scout rd from Lower Hartley Bridge rd to Jordan rd, Jack Brown Estates, Pine Valley, Jordan rd, Twin Walk, Gunter's Mill rd, Highway 42 from Jordan rd to Marshall Mill rd and other Non-Private roads adjacent to this roads.  Anyone in this area who would like to sign up for County water can pick up an application at the commissioners office or call the Water Department at (478)836-4246 to have an application mailed or to answer any questions.  In order to proceed with the proposed project the Water Department needs to know exactly how many residents in the proposed area will tie on to County water.  We will use this figure to calculate the financial feasability of the project.
