PUBLIC NOTICE: NOTICE OF INTENT TO PROCESS OR TABULATE ABSENTEE BALLOTS EARLY NOVEMBER 3, 2026, GENERAL ELECTION
Notice is hereby given that the Crawford County Board of Elections and Registration, pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 21-2-386(a)(2), intends to begin the processing and scanning of absentee ballots prior to Election Day for the November 3, 2026, General Election.
Processing and scanning of absentee ballots will begin on November 3, 2026, at 5:00 pm and will continue until complete, and will continue on November 6, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., (IF APPLICABLE), until the processing and scanning of absentee ballots is complete.

The processing and scanning of absentee ballots will be conducted in accordance with O.C.G.A. § 21-2-386(a)(2). The proceedings will be open to the view of the public. No tally, tabulation, estimate, or attempt to tally or tabulate votes from absentee ballots will be permitted prior to the closing of the polls on Election Day, except as otherwise provided by Georgia law.
All processing and scanning activities will be conducted in a manner that maintains the secrecy and security of the ballots and prevents the disclosure of election results prior to the closing of the polls.
