The Crawford County Board of Commissioners has tentatively adopted a 2025 millage rate which will require an increase in property taxes by 8.50 percent in the Unincorporated portion of the county and 14.80 percent in the Incorporated portion of the County.
All concerned citizens are incited to the public hearing on the tax increase to be held at the Crawford County Courthouse on December 2, 2025 at 10:00am.
Times and places of additional public hearings on this tax increase are at the Crawford County Courthouse on December 2, 2025 at 6:00pm. And at the Crawford County Courthouse on December 9, 2005 at 6:00pm.
This tentative increase will result in an Unincorporated millage rate of 14.028 mills, an increase of 1.099 mills. Without this tentative increase, the millage rate will be no more than 12.929 mills. The proposed tax increase for a home with a fair market value of $100,000 is approximately $41.76, and the proposed tax increase for the non-homestead property with a fair market value of $100,000 is approximately $43.96. .
This tentative increase will result in an Incorporated millage rate of 16.830 mills, an increase of 2.17 mills. Without this tentative increase, the millage rate will be no more than 14.660 mills. The proposed tax increase for a home with a fair market value of $100,000 is approximately $82.46 and the proposed tax increase for non-homestead property with a fair market value of $100,000 is approximately $86.80.
