The Crawford County Board of Commissioners has tentatively adopted a 2023 millage rate which will require an increase in property taxes by 26.5 percent in the Unincorporated portion of the county and 39.26 percent in the Incorporated portion of the County.


All concerned citizens are invited to the public hearing on the tax increase to be held at the Crawford County Courthouse on August 1, 2023 at 6:00pm.


Times and places of additional public hearings on this tax increase are at the Crawford County Courthouse on August 15, 2023 at 6:00pm and at the Crawford County Courthouse on August 29, 2023 at 6:00pm.

This tentative increase will result in an Unincorporated millage rate of 13.03 mills, an increase of 2.73 mills. Without this tentative increase, the millage rate will be no more than 10.300 mills. The proposed tax increase for a home with a fair market value of $100,000 is approximately $109.20, and the proposed tax increase for non-homestead property with a fair market value of $100,000 is approximately $109.20.


This tentative increase will result in an Incorporated millage rate of 14.770 mills, an increase of 4.165 mills. Without this tentative increase, the millage rate will be no more than 10.606 mills. The proposed tax increase for a home with a fair market value of $100,000 is approximately $166.56 and the proposed tax increase for non-homestead property with a fair market value of $100,000 is approximately $166.56.
